Bear Feet

Look at this little "bear" foot......no I did not spell that wrong in the title.

Its been a wild and fast week, kind of. I can't wait until Thanksgiving break, that's all the complaining I'll do in this post!

Maelea got to snuggle with her mom and dad this morning after she ate and then she took a little nap here while we got ready to go get new tires on my Jeep!

And today we cheered on those Razorbacks.........but it just wasn't enough.

Beating #1 is tough.

We're about to watch a movie, have a good night!

Razorback Fans

Alex says the razorbacks are going to win a national championship this year, its our year for that. We'll see. But we all got ready to cheer them on yesterday! And they came out with a victory!

Maelea was excellent in church today. She slept all the way to the end and then we had the Lord's supper and she woke up, but I held her and she did great! She wore a little red and white number, but by the time we made it in, her headband and fancy socks were in my purse.

Different kinds of tired

I used to get tired from work. I'd come home, eat, watch tv, walk, whatever and then be tired and ready to go to bed around 9:30. Then I got pregnant and that first month I could barely keep my eyes open once I got home and don't even get me started on how hard it was to wake up in the morning. But this new kind of tired is something totally different. Maelea is amazing and sweet and so good and precious. But this new kind of tired is like head falling back on the couch while I'm feeding her tired. I sleep so hard the only thing that wakes me up is her voice on the monitor. I had to turn the volume up on my alarm. That's tired.
But I wouldn't change one thing about it.

I hope I don't become just a weekend blogger, but it seems like that's the only time I'm not drop dead tired or when I have just a second to actually get on my computer. And apparently wishlist Wednesday went out the window, well maybe I can bring that back, but for right now I'm just trying to keep up each day.

Maelea has been such a great baby. She had her first full week with her babysitter, Mrs. Charity, and she loved it. She's been sleeping so well, going to bed around 9 each night and sleeping until I wake her up in the morning at about 6:15.

Maelea got to meet some more of her cousins last night when Skipper and Kent and the kids (minus Drew :( ) came to see us! I've seen these kids grow up and they are all so unique and adorable. But the sad thing, I didn't snap one picture......sad sad thing. But we got to eat dinner with them and Skipper and I got alot of great chit chatting in!

Maelea is dressed in her Razorback shirt again, since her razorback onesies don't fit yet and we're hoping for a hog victory!

Schedule

I guess this is our new schedule: Wake up at 5:45 a.m., brush teeth, put on make up, fix mess of hair, wake up Maelea, change and dress her, feed her, get myself dressed, pack up lunch, pack up her bottles, leave at 6:45, drop her off at Charity's, go to school, work all day, pick her up, feed her about 8 times, put her to sleep anywhere from 8:15-10:00. She does sleep all or most of the night now though!

Here are a few pictures of her time with her Pippo.

Side note for those who care and I just need to say thing, I'm nowhere close to where I'd like to be size wise. This is not fun and I'm not enjoying seeing all of those pants I can't wear just hanging in my closet. There, I'm done.

Whirlwind

I thought this would happen. Sorry so late on a new blog post. Its kinda tough!

My first week back was ok. Just ok because I had to go back to work. I know, sounds like I'm complaining but I didn't want to leave my baby. At least I got to leave her with my mom, thank goodness. She did so good. I missed her sooo much. My class is sooo crazy wild. But, on the note about the class, after four days with me, they're slowly changing their tune. Slowly. Here are a few shots mom got of our little ladybug.

I mean Maelea did great. She got her two month shots, I was not in attendance for this, booo, but she went with mom and got 'em done. She never ran a temp, so I was sooo happy about that.
I think this is what she thought about the whole ordeal. And this is one of my favorite pictures!

I'm so glad its Saturday and I'm loving just relaxing and spending time with her.

I shall leave you with this sweet face. Have a happy Saturday! Oh yeah, go Hogs!

big girl

Maelea went to the doctor today with Alex and my mom. I went to work, boooo. She now weighs 11 pounds 8 ounces. She's 23 1/2 inches long. She's doing great!

My first day back to work was pretty sad to me but went well, actually better than expected as far as leaving her goes. Yesterday and last night were worse than this morning. Now as far as the students go....that's a different story. They're not quite used to my "style" yet, but hopefully we'll get in sync.....um, soon.

oh anxiety

Yes, I've got it bad. I've had it for a couple of days now. I have to go to work tomorrow.......have to. Like, I'm being made to...by me. I'm sad about it, I won't lie and worrying about it and everything. I'm semi worried about my class too because I missed their first two weeks and don't really know any of them and have no idea where I'm going to start with them tomorrow...yikes, sorry parents. Yes, I will continue to be sad and anxious....but enough of that, mom will be here in a few hours, yeaa and here are a few pics of our labor day weekend.

Maelea in her stroller in her outfit from aunt Steph while her dad was playing volleyball in the sand.

Alex playing volleyball with friends. I don't play volleyball and even if I did, who would watch my ladybug?

We sat in the grass on her quilt from Ms. Wilma, she loves her quilt. She was so good the entire time.

Well I'm just waiting for her to wake up now from her nap so I can play with her and look at her and feel happy for a few more hours.

We're ready

For the razorbacks! Yes, it is football season and the Hatch household is ready for it.
Here we have miss Maelea sporting her first Razorback tee! (Thanks Pippo!)

Honestly, I didn't know much about football before I went to college. I mean Bergman didn't have a team, so I wasn't too into it. Then at college it was super fun to go to the UCA games and then we moved down here and I got to go to a few razorback games and of course the cowboys games with Nancy have made me love it even more.

I'm sure Maelea will love it too....not sure she has a choice at this point! Just kidding.

Ok, I hope you're going to laugh at this as much as we did. Like I said, I've been on a sewing spree. Actually, I think I'm on a search for something that I'm truly good at as far as sewing and creating, or something that is just easy for me to make. So I've tried a multitude of things and decided on some fabric baby shoes. Steph and I both decided they were adorable but looked tough to do.......then I thought, shoot, I'll give it a try. And this is what happened on the FIRST and only try. (just one shoe, mind you.)

Hilarious! Little pointy toe shoe and sadly there is elastic in the back but you can't tell that either. She seemed quite confused and wondered why she had to wear it and why we were laughing so loud and so hard. Poor girl.

Then I made these pants, another attempt at something cute and easy. Of course I couldn't do it the simple way, I had to add a ruffle, because I'm into ruffles.

And they are sooo far from perfect but it was fun. I'm in the process of another pair that are quite a bit cuter and better made (seams on the inside) and I'll have them on her in no time! haha. I also made a dress and it also is far from perfect, but I felt kinda good about it, kinda.

That's my baby

I took several pictures of Maelea yesterday just because I wanted to. Yes, some of them are of her sleeping because it is so darn sweet. And you've probably noticed that many of them are of her sitting in the boppy, which she loves now too.

She likes to lay on her play mat and I turn on the light up thing that is in the middle. She will watch it and let you know when it goes off....she also loves to check out the tv when she lays down there too.

The last two nights she's woken up to be fed at 2 and at 3. So I still don't think that's bad, considering she goes to sleep anywhere from 8:45-9:30. I just hope this routine, or something like it, continues when I go back to work.........oh I didn't mean to mention that since I'm not looking forward to it.
