Thanksgiving Part 1

What a great time we had on Thanksgiving Break! We spent the first half with Alex's parents and family in Humphrey. Here are a few shots from a Sunday Thanksgiving dinner.
Here Maelea is with Sara, Andrew, and Fred. She loooved Fred's shirt and he sure scooped her right up. And Andrew couldn't keep his paws off of her.

Then she had a little play time with Aiden and Journey.

And here's Maelea with her Poppy and Grammie.

Uncle Clarence and Cleveland.....Maelea was seeing double!

And this is Granny Martha and Cleofis. They used to watch Alex when he was a little guy.

Sometimes you just gotta get out of the house and play a little basketball. I showed Alex a few moves while we were out there but she was pretty impressed with her dad's skills.

However I was more impressed with his style.........um yikes.

one year ago

Finally, a good long break and boy did we ever need it. But as I enjoy this time of family and friends and relaxation, I just can't stop thinking about how exciting last Thanksgiving was.

We couldn't wait to do this.

Now she's here and what a great time we're having.

Hawkins and Hull

I got to shoot this family last week. I work with the mom, Sharla Hawkins. What a big and fun group, we had a blast. Her youngest daughter, Emma, was in my first second grade class in Forney. Here are a few of my favorites.

I mean, how fun is that?

I did Amanda's Christmas pictures with her little girl Savanah. They both have crystal blue eyes and those made for some amazing shots. Savanah was not too happy, but she was a trooper on this cold windy day.

And my favorite of the entire day.

Maelea update

Sorry for not keeping you updated on Maelea.....it is a busy time of year. And I've really been blessed to be able to take some pictures of some fun people lately, more on that later.

A couple of pics of Maelea snoozing on her dad.

She is still sleeping through the night, thank heavens, and I have started her on a little formula during the day so I can keep up with feeding her. My original goal for nursing her was 6 months and I'm sticking to that, but I'm having to give her a little formula now so she'll get full.

Her first "spoon" feeding. At first she really thought she would give it a nice try.

But this is what she really thought about that rice cereal on the spoon.

And last weekend Maelea got to meet Alana. They hit it off quite well! Here's Maelea in one of her new outfits from Alana.

Needless to say she got plenty of attention.

And here she is on a chilly morning before we left for school.

We are so ready for Thanksgiving break it is not even funny.

I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new camera.....I ordered it last night and Alex just went to pick it up for me!

Audrey- Senior 2011

I got to do Audrey's senior pics this last weekend. Alana and I were best buds in college and a I am so happy we met and have stayed such great friends. Phyllis, Alana, and Audrey made the trip to Terrell and we shot tons of pics. Here are a few of my faves!

She's quite the athlete and we got some unique softball and basketball shots.

We had fun.

And more fun.

Treat-or-Treat

Do you see how shocked she is? Well it is because she weighs 13 pounds and is 25 inches long! Those big 25 inches put her in the 90th percentile in length and the 13 pounds have her in the 50th percentile. She got her shots and took 'em like a champ! I took it like a champ too, mama took a flu shot for the team.

It was all treats at the Hatch household on Halloween. Our ladybug was on trick-or-treater duty and she loved all the kids and was all big eyed when we would open the door.

She was nice and snuggly in her costume and had some super wild hair under those antennas. Well, her hair actually looks like that even if it hasn't been roughed up.

She just loves sucking on her fingers now and the drool falls in buckets....teeth are on their way.

The trick or treaters kept coming and Maelea had to call it a night.
