back when it was warmer...

I used to post. You know, back when it was warmer. So I will show you Maelea in an adorable outfit for church, around a month ago.

Her feet are growing kinda fast all of a sudden and boy do they stink. It really doesn't bother me that much, mainly because I still have a head full of junk and can hardly smell but it bothers Alex. And Charity. And I think all of those around her when she takes off a shoe. Just one.

Maybe she gets sweaty when her dad gives her a tricycle ride around the house.

Oh wait, yes she does get sweaty. That's why she needs this sweatband.

Why is that such a big deal mom?

Pumpkin drilling

I like to carve pumpkins. We did it some when we were younger but I wouldn't say we did it as a tradition or anything like that. You could say Alex does not like to carve pumpkins. I bought three at a roadside pumpkin patch/stand about one day before Halloween.

I picked out one for each of us and you can guess who ended up carving one pumpkin. Me. And I actually drilled. I saw a cute idea on pinterest that was a polka dot pumpkin so I wanted to replicate that.
There are no after pictures because there wasn't much of an after product.

Maelea was not a fan of the pumpkin insides.

I really wanted her to just dive in a grab. Um no.

My claws.

I said, UM NO.

Drilling.

Just two more weeks until Thanksgiving break!!! And tv right now could not be better!!!! I love you Parenthood.

Fern goes trick-or-treating

Maelea was Fern for halloween. As in, Fern from Charlotte's Web.
I will admit that we dressed her up for our fall carnival a couple of weekends ago and her costume was cuter then than when we actually took her trick-or-treating. To one house. Tori and Matt's and Lynn was there too. But it was adorable and fun....um, after we got her all dressed. Getting dressed was neither adorable or fun.

So here she is before we left for school Monday morning with Daddy.

And here she is before we left to trick-or-treat.

Her costume for the carnival was a white onesie under the overalls (from Memaw), the mud boots mom got her and pink and white gingham ribbons in the back. Oh, and a bandana around her neck.

But this was still cute. And she loved carrying her big girl bag from Alana!
Here she is with Matt and Alex giving out candy.

And here she is with Lynn and Lynn's specs. :)

And of course she loves Kate.
And acting like Kate.
Even trying to sit on Kate. Sorry guys.

So halloween 2011 is in the books. I could not be happier that Thanksgiving is just around the corner! EEkkk!
